Producer / Director / Storyboards (he/him)
I’ve worked in animation for over 35 years in every aspect of production. And although I hold the role of producer here at TAC, my happy place is drawing storyboards and directing. Storyboards are great, in that they give you a bird’s eye view of the story you’re trying to tell. They are a powerful tool that informs all other stages of production.
I love animation’s ability to tell heartfelt stories, educate, inform, and make people laugh… often all at the same time. Animation lets you solve visual problems in ways live action never could.
I’m very inspired and influenced by the work of artists like Jay Ward, Fred Crippen, Mary Blair, Bill Meléndez, Lynda Barry, Hergé, and Maurice Vellekoop.
